Michelle and family

It was another cold but lovely fall day last Sunday.  I met my good friend Michelle and her family out at Manuel's river for some family photos.  With my new lens in tow I was super excited to get a new perspective at the river and I had lots of great opportunity to do just that with with these three energetic and rascally kiddos!  They had me scaling mountains and stumbling in rivers!  But you can't keep a good girl down!!  These days, this is how I get my exercise and I can leave your their number at the end so you too can avail of their personal training services...lol!!!  The icing on the cake was Bethany calling me Nette!!  Too freakin' cool!!

I know I've mentioned before that I love meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends.  But I am so loving this new found passion.  Photography is a great outlet for me to do something that's just for me!  How often can we say, we love what we do?  Don't get me wrong, it's a constant state of learning but it's something I totally love learning about.  When something comes along that you enjoy and have passion for you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try.  Take a chance and don't grow old saying I wish I was younger, I wish I had more time, I should have...

Take the time to enjoy that something you love now!!

Heather's Pride

Last Monday I met up with Heather and her children.  Heather and I worked together at the infamous Grace Hospital and now we work on sister floors at St. Clare's.  One night she was sent to our floor and she mentioned my blog and that she'd like to have some photos taken of her children.  We set up and day and as luck should have it the weather was our friend (with the exception of a little shower part way through the shoot)!!

We met up at Manuel's river for the afternoon.  I have done some photos there before.  However, this time the session was held at the lower portion of the river.  As I've mentioned in earlier posts, this is a great spot for walking, hiking and just taking in nature's beauty.

With my camera in tow and Heather and her three children we set off on a little hike.  I met her great gang, the beautiful Jill, handsome Ben and cutie pie Sam, for a wonderful afternoon of hanging out and taking some snaps at the river.

The Lake family

Fall is a beautiful time of year with its rich and vibrant colors.  Even though winter is just around the corner, fall's beauty surrounds us every day as leaves change colors before our eyes and become forest jewels.  Saturday was no exception and I couldn't have asked for a more glorious day.  It was warm and sunny and I met up with a family at the ever beautiful, Manuel's river.

Hurricane Igor, unfortunately, did a fair share of damage to the lower trail but the upper trail was in pretty good condition.  We came across some fallen trees but it was not damaged too badly.

I met up with Chris, his wife and children to take some photos.  My husband and Chris work together and although I hadn't met him, I heard lots about him!   This great family were so sweet, I immediately found myself at ease with the whole gang!!  We had a lot of fun and had a great nature walk as well.  I had never been to the end of the trail and it was a treat!!  If you ever get a chance you should definitely check it out.

When I look through some of these photos it reminds me of the story Hansel and Gretel as the children make they way through the forest to find the cottage made of sugary treats.

So, the day was a great success and I made some new friends, which is always a bonus!!

Myah and Carter

Middle Cove beach served as a gorgeous backdrop for a sweet little photo shoot of this brother and sister duo!  We sang some Sean Kingston, did a little pose down, skimmed some rocks with dad and had a great time!!  Check out these little sweeties.  As my mom would say, they came right out of the Sears catalogue!! Enjoy!!
