Earl-eye in the mornin'!

My morning sessions have usually been about 10 or 10:30 but this was the earliest so far!!  We met at South Side road, near Fort Amherst, at 8 in the morning.  This was nearly midday for these parents of a sweet little three year old whereby early rises are the norm.  There was some excitement as a boat was leaving the harbor and heading out through the narrows shortly after we arrived.  With a view of St. John's harbor, Signal Hill and the Battery, there was no shortage of beautiful sites to behold.  It certainly makes you realize how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and scenic province.

Pretty as a picture and dressed in her favorite color, Sarah rocked her look with her gorgeous brown eyes and fabulous boots!!  Her mom and dad weren't half bad either! ;)!!
Here are some shots from our earl-eye mornin' shoot!!

Miss Ellie

At 4 months old this little charmer has
Mom and Dad wrapped....right around her little fingers!!  Little miss Ellie had a smile the minute I walked in the door.  You could see the pride displayed on Mom and dad's face as they dressed her up and cuddled her when she needed a little hug during our session.  I know that this time in their lives will pass by so quickly.  I look back to my children who are now 9 and 12 and it's hard to believe they were once this small.  I am so happy to have the opportunity to help capture this precious moment in time for these parents.  They grow right before your eyes and it's quite unreal.

Enjoy them, love them and teach them well.

Heather's Pride

Last Monday I met up with Heather and her children.  Heather and I worked together at the infamous Grace Hospital and now we work on sister floors at St. Clare's.  One night she was sent to our floor and she mentioned my blog and that she'd like to have some photos taken of her children.  We set up and day and as luck should have it the weather was our friend (with the exception of a little shower part way through the shoot)!!

We met up at Manuel's river for the afternoon.  I have done some photos there before.  However, this time the session was held at the lower portion of the river.  As I've mentioned in earlier posts, this is a great spot for walking, hiking and just taking in nature's beauty.

With my camera in tow and Heather and her three children we set off on a little hike.  I met her great gang, the beautiful Jill, handsome Ben and cutie pie Sam, for a wonderful afternoon of hanging out and taking some snaps at the river.

Double the fun!

Fun, fall and another set of fabulous twins!!!  These cuties were very accommodating pending they had a few little small colorful enticements...aka smarties!!  Their mom thought of everything!!  From a cute little pumpkin prop to a gorgeous sweater set made by their nan.   The weather held up for us, the wind stayed low and I, of course, was lower than a snake's belly capturing these awesome little dudes!  One little fellow had a particular fascination with one red camera bag, so I captured that too!!  Check out the these adorable boys!!

It seems this little guy was attracted to my bright red Camera bag!!!  Tee hee!!

The Cadigan Family

These Little Hands

"These little hands can wave hello

Or put smudges on the wall.

They can fold in prayer, throw a kiss,

Or reach up and say "So tall!"

They will clasp your hand for an autumn stroll,

Or shape a dinosaur from clay,

But most of all, they will stay with you

When grown and far away."

I am always amazed at little children! They are tiny little humans and it just really amazes me!!  They are ever wondrous, ever exploring, curious about all we take for granted.  They learn so much by touch and feel and sadly, tasting too...lol. They melt your heart with a smile and sometimes just need to hold your hand.  The simplest things are what makes them feel safe-food, a hug, a bedtime story and sometimes to just know you are in the room.  I am so fortunate to meet so many cute and curious little people on my journey of photography.  I love to capture them exploring, having fun and interacting with things all around them.  On Sunday past, as the fog receded for a few hours, I managed to meet up with the Cadigans and do their family photos.  Check out the cute little person I met this time.
