Seeing Triple

In today's post I have a few photos of three handsome little guys I had the pleasure of photographing. They were so cute and adorable but it was quite a challenging session to say the least. There were a couple of occasions where one of them (and I'm not gonna name names Bill) was trying to escape. Another time two out of three of them were napping and someone didn't want a nap!! It was so amazing to witness how they had such distinct personalities.  You could sometimes see it in their expressions!! It was such a fun day and I hope to go back again sometime as these 3 adorable identical triplets grow!!

My Brother Chad

As many of you get ready to celebrate Father's day this weekend so do I.  It's a special day for both my husband and my dad. But June 20th is also a special day because it is my brother Chad's birthday.  Chad was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was about 3 years old.  He was a beautiful, busy and sweet little boy and grew to be a handsome, caring and wonderful young man.  He struggled at times with epilepsy through those years.  However, Chad's journey was not a long one.  Six and 1/2 years ago after 23 years of dealing with epilepsy, his journey ended. He passed away from complications due to a seizure on December 20th, 2003.  He was 26 years old. Chad would be 33 on Sunday and each year I wonder where his life would have taken him.  Would he have had children of his own, would he live close by, would he be coming over for Sunday dinner, where would he be working?  All these things I wonder about.  All these things many people take for granted.  Sometimes I just talk out loud to him and sometimes I see some young man walking down the road and for some reason he reminds me of Chad. He was my only sibling.  Losing a loved one is nearly unbearable but we go on and learn to cope as best we can without them.  So, I am missing and remembering my handsome bro on his birthday and I wanted to share a lovely photo taken by my cousin Renee about 7 or so years ago.  Miss you Chad xoxo.

The Dillons

I did a family session on Tuesday of my friend Gerriann and her funny, wonderful and crazy (this means you Paul) family.  Gerriann is my childhood friend and when I say childhood I really mean it!  We go back very far!  In fact, our moms were pregnant at the same time in the same little community.  I was born in April and she in May. In fact, I have a photo of her attending my 2nd birthday party!  We were great friends growing up together and all through school.  Like many people, we went our separate ways after high school but a few years ago we reconnected again and I am so happy to have my lovely friend back in my life.  She's a wonderful friend and Mom and we even like our coffee the same!!  These are some of my favorite shots of the day.  Check out this hot couple below!!

Sweet Little Kindergarten Grad

This little beauty is the daughter of a great friend of mine.  She finished her first year of school and her mom wanted some photos taken of their littlest princess.  It was a pleasure to hang out with this great family.  I always feel so welcome there and her children are so sweet and friendly.  Here is some of my favorites from the day.

These are my peeps! This is just a little test linking my flickr account with my blog! It is cool, cause it works!! So enjoy my son and daughter as they hang out on a little island, named Bell Island. Had a daytrip there and I couldn't resist the lovely backdrop it offered.

Dakota- Then and Now

Puppy Shot

Big boy!

This is Dakota. He's our 2 year old mixed breed (shih poo-terrier) dog. We were in the market for a family pet and this little fellow fell right into our lap and that's where he now spends most of his time :).  He's a sweet, cuddly, licky, fuzzy kinda guy who enjoys walks, playing tug, and snuggling with just about anyone who will have him.  I take so many pics of him he now turns away when he sees the camera. He's a part of our little gang here and we couldn't imagine life without him.  Oh, and he really is a great dog!

Week 23-Play photo challenge

This is my submission to I Heart Faces weekly challenge.  The photo challenge this week is Play.  I love the expression on my son's face here as he swings high and fast.  His sister is the blue blurred blob as he goes as fast as he can!

Maternity Session

I was so excited when a friend of mine asked me to do her belly shots!  She hadn't been feeling well and wasn't up to having them done earlier.  But as time was getting nearer she felt she wanted those memories captured.  So of course when she asked, I said yes!  I was super excited because a) I hadn't done maternity pics before and wanted the opportunity, and b) it was a way for me to try and create some memories for these first time parents.  Little did we know that baby Sean was going to make an appearance the very next day, not 24 hours later!!  Whew, that was a close one!  So I guess all that walking and posing helped the labor along a little.  Here are some of my favorites.

My In-house model!

When I'm out and about I'm always looking for new locations for photo sessions.  I do this without even thinking about it.  I wonder does this make me creative or just crazy?!  The following photos are of my daughter shot a couple of weeks ago.  I found this large structure full of graffiti and immediately thought that she would really think it was cool and might like to be my model for the day!  And to my grateful surprise she did on both counts!!  So here are some of my favorites from that day with my In-house model.
