Baby Evan

The day before the devastation that was Hurricane Igor, I got together with my nephew, his beautiful wife, their baby, Evan and Colby.  The weather was not supposed to be cooperative.  So I was quite happy that the rain held off and even more pleased with our choice of location.  Althougth the trail was busy with people (including a city worker, whom I swear was stalking, the photos told otherwise.  With its lush green mossy ground and many gorgeous vignettes, the scene choices were unlimited.  We captured little Evan exploring the surroundings, experiencing textures and hanging with his family.  There just happened to be some crazy lady with a camera that they just couldn't seem to get rid of!!  Evan was so pleasant and super cute to boot!!  Here are some shots from our afternoon.

Reid Family

Today's photos are of the Reid family I met as a referral from my friend Peggi.  Her darling trio were a part of an earlier post back in July.

I met up with this great family on Sunday at the ever awesome, Cape Spear.   It was a lovely day, a little cool and windy, but a wonderful backdrop for some fun, frolic and few photos!  These twins were very easy going and the camera just loved them.  Having a boy of my own the same age, hanging out with them was a breeze.  I felt right at home and as you will see, we had a time.  Check out this awesome family!

Doubly Blessed

Having a child is an amazing experience in so many ways.  But when you are Blessed with more than one child at once, it is nothing short of a miracle!  I had the pleasure of meeting some super sweet little twins last week.  And being that their aunt Tracey is one of my best friends, I felt like I already knew the parents.  So it was so nice to actually meet these great people and their little miracles.  What was more amazing was the ease with which these first time parents interacted with their near, brand new little babes.  Relaxed and comforting, gentle and happy, these two parents were quite amazing themselves.  I'm sure you will see the love that they have for their beautiful seven week old babies.

Sugar and Spice and everything nice

What are little girls made of?  Sugar?  Spice?  I have taken a few photos lately and I have seen lots of sweet little girls (and boys I'm not leaving you all out).  There is always one or two of them who are, what I would call,  a mini-me!  You know what I'm talking about.  They look or behave so much like their parent it is remarkable.  I, however, do not have a mini-me with either of my children.  Yes, I carried them and I am half them but they both look like their dad.  That's not a bad thing but I would have liked an ounce of me in them.  Just a smidgen, a morsel, something...ANYTHING!!! :)

So again, I had a session last week with two darling little girls.   Both of whom were very different from each other but who each had 'mom' in them in some form.  One was soft and sweet and posed when I wanted.  The other one was boundless energy, fearless fun and a little bit rascally!  So, what are little girls made of?  Sugar and spice and most definitely, everything nice.  Here are some shots from our day.

Fun with Actions

Here's a sweet little lady that I photographed last week.  Full of life and energy, I managed to catch her at a moment of rest as she looked off with dreamy far away eyes. I used a vintage action on this shot which is fun to play around with.  I don't always use actions but like the look of this one along with the rugged look of the fence.

Myah and Carter

Middle Cove beach served as a gorgeous backdrop for a sweet little photo shoot of this brother and sister duo!  We sang some Sean Kingston, did a little pose down, skimmed some rocks with dad and had a great time!!  Check out these little sweeties.  As my mom would say, they came right out of the Sears catalogue!! Enjoy!!

A baby boy

For those of us that are parents, we know how quickly children grow and become 'people'!!  I say that with a bit of humor because they were always people.  I mean people who are independent people; going to school, and sleepovers, and eventually driving.  My children are 12 and 9 and it only seems like yesterday they were teeny, tiny little beings like the little guy featured today!  Although life is so busy at this stage because of their dependence on us for every aspect of their lives, it is one of the most amazing and wonderful times as well.  Check out this cute little dude!!

Wouldn't be a Nette baby post without some cute little toes!!
