The Sheppards

Trying to find a location for photos can sometimes be a daunting task.  There's the ever faithful Bowring park and Manuel's river but sometimes our own backyard might serve as a great backdrop for our photos.

This was the case with the Sheppards.  They wondered where to go and thought maybe the yard might work.   With another unexpected sunny and warm Fall day, I showed up to do just that. Their property was surrounded with lots of great little areas to capture some pictures of their son. And of course, we sneaked in a few family pics too, doggie included!! As their son showed me the areas he played in, helped to build and played catch with the family dog, there was s great level of comfort for him.
We had a great time and captured some silly and some lovely moments.

Eli

I am awake at 4 am (acutally 3am since daylight savings time kicked in) doing a blog post.  There must be something wrong in my head!  Well, yes there is!!  I went to bed early and woke with a bit of a cold.  Nothing serious, just not able to sleep.
So, I figured why not be productive, I will sleep when it comes!!

This little guy is no stranger to Topsail beach.  He has had many adventures there before with his parents and little doggies!  However, this time he got to hike the trail himself.  I'm sure he would have went to St. Philips if time allowed!!  I met up with Eli and Mom in the parking lot at Topsail beach.  And within 10 minutes, he was holding my hand to lead him across the rocky shore line.  His mom said this was a good thing because he was usually a good judge of character!!  Sweet!!  If you get okayed by the little humans, it's all good!!

So off we went and collected rocks and coral, hiked a little, got a little wet and  had an adventure of sweet proportions!  With such an infectious smile and the coolest little rubber boots ever, how can you go wrong!!

The Tetfords

I've been so lucky with the weather this season and I am having a blast meeting  new people, as well as, reconnecting with old friends!!  This was my second session last Sunday and our NL weather held its own for the most part! We did have a little shower but nothing to halt production!

The Tetford family showed up excited for some shooting fun!  Embracing the versatility of Bowring park lately, I headed in a different direction and sought out some new ground.  This sweet family were ready and willing to make a stop here and there as we enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the park.

I love when an idea comes on the fly.  Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't but you always have fun trying. :)

Jakoba & Rijke

Last Sunday was another of those questionable days and I wondered if it would rain or not.  It did, but not for long thankfully.  After the rain the colors of the leaves just popped and were even more beautiful.  The other two beauties that day were Jakoba and Rijke.  These two gorgeous Keeshonds are the pride and joy of a great couple Lynn and John.  They (Lynn) wanted some family photos for the upcoming holiday season and Bowring park was yet again a great backdrop for this session.  These girls were so well behaved and friendly and are quite a stunning breed.  So, we took a walk in the park, had some fun, and I think accomplished our goal.
