A baby boy

For those of us that are parents, we know how quickly children grow and become 'people'!!  I say that with a bit of humor because they were always people.  I mean people who are independent people; going to school, and sleepovers, and eventually driving.  My children are 12 and 9 and it only seems like yesterday they were teeny, tiny little beings like the little guy featured today!  Although life is so busy at this stage because of their dependence on us for every aspect of their lives, it is one of the most amazing and wonderful times as well.  Check out this cute little dude!!

Shoot-n-tell

Sometimes my daughter allows me the honor of photographing her!!  I'm told by a friend of mine that this stage of not wanting to be photographed will change and I will get my little model back!!  For now I will take what I can get! :)

I love the feel of these photos.  I used a photoshop action on these particular photos.  It was a PW actionset called vintage. I really love the grain and coloring of this action.  It makes the photo not only seem aged, it gives you the feel of the 1920's when the flapper dresses were the style and hats and hair pieces were a common site.

  

Sweet Shot Tuesday

I love summer!  It's great but I am longing for routine again!!  School starts tomorrow and so I shall become more organized!  If it's not New Year's, is it still a resolution???  In any case, I've missed you sweet shooters!!  I am back to join the ranks.  Here is a shot of two sweet little girls that I added a LR preset to.  It's a really nice brown finish.   It was a free download at  http://prettypresets.com/

Ella and Emily

This week has been a great bit of fun for me. Quite busy, but lots of fun!!  I attended my Nephew's lovely wedding this past Saturday (camera in hand of course), went on another great photo walk with my friend Marsha (see previous photo walk),  and had a great fun-in-the-sun session with Ella and Emily!  Today I am posting a few photos from Wednesday's session in Bowring park. 

The day was bright and sunny and absolutely gorgeous!  These sweet little ladies were my subjects as we headed to Bowring Park.  Their mom Kelly and I worked together many years ago at the Grace Hospital.  It was so nice to see her again and to meet her beautiful daughters.  Some people just have that natural, fun loving way about them and Kelly is like that.  She is still the funny and even tempered gal I remember and her two girls were a delight to shoot.
