Children are a Blessing

Being a parent is one of life's greatest gifts that we may sometimes take for granted.  It is full of ups and downs, self doubt and trial and error.  It is something we plan for and sometimes something we do not.  There are many books, but they do not adequately prepare you for the road of parenthood.  However way we come to be parents, it is a job not to be taken lightly.  We are there to guide our children, to keep them safe and to always love them.
So when I say children are a Blessing I say so with all my heart.

Today's post is of two beautiful children who happen to have two very wonderful parents.  We had loads of fun in the park and I got a workout to boot!  Something they do tell you in books...a two year olds favorite word is "NO!".  Enjoy!

Sweet Shot Tuesday!!

This is my Sweet Shot Tuesday submission.  This photo was taken this past weekend while taking some photos of a great family!!  This location is the most Easterly point in North America called Cape Spear.  It's located in St. John's, Newfoundland!!

                                                                      Sweet Shot Day

Fun in the Sun (and wind)!!

This past Saturday in St. John's we had a gorgeous day! The sun and high temperatures were just wonderful after our sad intro into the summer season. Living on the east coast of Canada can be quite a challenge with our long, cold winters and even shorter summers! But Saturday, all that didn't matter! Saturday, the sun just about melted us into sticky puddles of useless goo and we dare not complain because only a few shorts weeks ago we had temperatures in the low teens (mid 50's depending out what part North America you reside). However, we Newfoundlanders know that with the sun, comes the wind. And buddy did she blow!

A few days before I received a call from an old friend who's cousin was in town from Ontario and she was interested in getting together to have her photos taken.  So, we decided to take in some sites and do a photo session starting with North America's most Easterly point (aka, the most windy point), Cape Spear!(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Spear)  It was a little windy, yeah, you could say that! Here's a look at some of the fun I had with this great family!

I am posting ...yes I am :)

So, I have not posted anything lately...I know...bad!! However, now that the painting is done (for now) and I am again a little free to shoot, I wanted to share a couple photos I took with my brandinew Canon 7D...Yes, you heard me right!!  I am the proud owner of the cool 7D!  After roaring my terrible roar and gnashing my terrible teeth and rolling my terrible eyes, I beat my husband into submission!!  And he said "go and get it by, you've got me beat down!!"  I took it out of the box and was in love!!  So here are the real loves of my life, my kiddies, my Wild Things.  P.S. I love Maurice Sendak

Introducing Sean

So as you may guess from an earlier post, I have a wee obsession with little teeny, tiny toesies!  It's so difficult not to! They are the cutest things ever!  Well, with the exception of the little people who own said toesies!  So here is a post of a little guy, who we only saw as a bump not too long ago, making his photographic debut!
