Kim and Tony

Although unsure of the weather last Saturday, it turned out quite fabulous for Kim and Tony as they spoke their own beautiful vows to each other.  Surrounded by loving family and friends this gorgeous day unfolded on the beautiful grounds of the GEO centre

It was an event interlaced with family with the lovely Nicole, Kim's daughter as maid of honor.  Kim's son, Ethan guided his mom to Tony as he waited with nervous excitement and pure love to see his beautiful bride.  By Tony's side was his son, Nathan keeping Dad calm and in check! ;)

So much love and already a family, this beautiful ceremony only solidified what already was.  I was so happy to meet this couple and spend part of their wonderful day together.  Congratulations again, Kim and Tony, on your marriage!!

Mr. and Mrs. Moores

The stars aligned for Andrew and Denae last Saturday.  Their magical day came together as if, truly meant to be.  Not that planning a wedding from another province wasn't challenging enough, there were big changes happening to this couple in addition to wedding details!!

With a long drive from Ontario and their eyes on the weather channel, the harsh reality of NL weather loomed over everyone all week long!!  However, old Mother Nature came through in the end!!

It was a beautiful backyard wedding at Andrew's Mom's garden paradise and an emotional Dad performed the nuptials for his son and soon to be daughter-in-law, with pride.  Parents, grandparents, family and friends made their way across the miles to see this couple begin their life together.  Champagne was toasted and congratulations offered and they partied on into the night.

I was so happy to be part of the beginning of something wonderful!!

Andrew and Denae,
Wishing you many wonderful years together!!
May you find joy in the smallest of acts and love at every turn!

Congratulations!

Chris and Sheri

I was so excited when my friend Melanie asked me if I'd like to shoot a wedding with her.  I happily accepted and a few weeks ago we met up with Chris and Sheri. This young couple seemed so happy and ready to get hitched. I doubt they would have been so relaxed had they known then the impact Igor would have on their big day.

Igor started their wedding week off with a bang!!  You know, the tropical depression to hit our non-tropical island!! So many terrible things happened to people, communities and highways, it is hard to believe it was only a little over a week ago.

Sheri's parents, who live on the Burin peninsula, almost didn't make their daughter's wedding, the road leading from there was impassable.  To add insult to injury, the highway through Terra Nova national park was washed out which played havoc with Chris's dad, brother and family.   They travelled from Cape Breton by ferry and had to take that route to get to the wedding.  It seemed the odds were against Chris and Sheri but with the help from God, many prayers and her sister Angie calling in a huge favor by means of helicopter ride, the wedding went ahead full force.  Even the rain didn't damper the spirits of these fun loving adventurers.  Bless you both and all your family and congratulations to you as you begin your wonderful and exciting journey of marriage.  There is no doubt that you will stand the test of time with all the love and support that surrounds you.
Here are a few photos from their special day.
