Kelsie's Grade 9 Farewell

I am not long back from a sunny Florida holiday refreshed and very thankful for the bit of Vitamin D I soaked in while there.  I hope I stored some because this month has been a write off as far as weather goes.  Yes, I know we live on the east coast of Canada, but Mr. Sun, we still need you!!

I won't go on about our nasty weather!!  Instead I have some photos of a young lady who just celebrated a milestone in her life.  Kelsie is my best friend's daughter and yesterday she had a ceremony to represent the big transition of leaving Junior high and going to High School.  I cannot believe how quickly the years have passed.  She has grown into beautiful young woman both inside and out.  Joined by her family, friends and some of her classmates I was there as she prepared for her big day!  I will be doing this very thing next year for my own teenage daughter....eekk!!

Kelsie, you and your friends are sweet, fun and you all looked super beautiful yesterday.  So proud of you and glad I could be there yesterday to share in your day!!

My gang

It's not often my gang lets me make a photo of them.  In fact, there is usually a little persuading involved, shouting, threats etc. ;) but here are my children in my photos!!  Imagine, who'd have thunk it possible!!  Some photos were the result of enjoying my Christmas toys; my soft box constant lights system and my backlight and some shots I just wanted of my children before they are grown and have kiddies of their own.  Time moves along at a constant and waits for no one.

Life doesn't always allow you the luxury of doing what you love but somehow you have to try and make it work.  Sometimes it takes us a while to figure out what it is we love; that something that takes us away from the stresses of everyday life and gives us the most pleasure.  While my children will always be my number one, it's nice to have something that is mine.  Here are my children, who sadly are growing up on me, the loves of my life!

Here is Carter with his Ninja bear, Kyro, from Bears in the bay on Facebook!  Check them out!  Hand crafted, unique bears by my good friend Marsha and her mom Annie.

The Neville family

I met Michelle by email through my husband's workplace. She had been given my blog link and was organizing some fundraising events for a co worker's CCSVI treatment.  I had heard a bit about this from my husband.  So when Michelle contacted me about the silent auction, I was glad to donate a photo session to help with the cause.  The Auction was held this past week. Congratulations to the winner!  Can't wait to meet you!

Not wanting to take any chances at maybe not winning the auction, Michelle went ahead and booked me anyways...lol!!  That was a joke!! ;)

So, we planned our session and had a fantastic day for it.  It was the kind of day that is unheard of in November. We played in and explored the park and had so much fun in fact, it all ended in tears!!  Check this fun and, a little silly, family.

Miss Ellie

At 4 months old this little charmer has
Mom and Dad wrapped....right around her little fingers!!  Little miss Ellie had a smile the minute I walked in the door.  You could see the pride displayed on Mom and dad's face as they dressed her up and cuddled her when she needed a little hug during our session.  I know that this time in their lives will pass by so quickly.  I look back to my children who are now 9 and 12 and it's hard to believe they were once this small.  I am so happy to have the opportunity to help capture this precious moment in time for these parents.  They grow right before your eyes and it's quite unreal.

Enjoy them, love them and teach them well.
